Maria is through to the final of the AIG Japan Open Tennis Championships in Tokyo after she defeated Tamarine Tanasugarn in a 66 minutes lasting match (6-2, 6-3).
In the final Maria will play Mashona Washington of the United States.
Washington won the match against Klara Koukalova(Cze) in 3 sets (3-6 7-5 6-2 / 108 minutes). It is the first time she reached a tournament final.
It will be Maria's fourth appearance on a tournament final this year, and i'm sure it won't be the last.
