The draw for the Advanta Championships in Philadelphia has been released. Maria is the #2 seed for this event and receives a bye in the 1st round.
In the second round Maria will play either Samantha Stosur of Australia or Lisa Raymond of the United States. Maria has played Stosur 4 times before and leads the series 4-0 and has never played Raymond before.
Philadelphia will begin on Monday and is a tier 2 event. This is the last year of the event here due to the WTA Championships being moved to Madrid next year.
