The draw for the first Grand Slam of the year, the Australian Open in Melbourne, has been released and in the first round Maria will play Sandra Kloesel of Germany.
Maria has never played Kloesel before. If Maria wins that match she will play either Shuai Peng of China or a qualifier.
It will be the third time that Maria will play at the Australian Open and her best result was reaching the semis last year losing to Serena Williams.
