On Friday Maria will play unseeded Croatian Jelena Kostanic for a place in the fourth round of the Australian Open. This match is the first match at Rod Laver Arena and the schedule starts at 11.00 AM (Australian time).

Maria has played Kostanic one time before in Philadelphia (2004) and won after Kostanic retired in the third set.
