Maria will start her 3rd Grand Slam this year against Anna Smashnova of Israel. Maria played Smashnova only once in the third round of the 2004 Nasdaq-100 Open where she won in 2 sets 7-5 6-2.

In the second round she will either play Ashley Harkleroad of the United Stated or Jelena Kostanic of Croatia.

Wimbledon starts June 26.

I am not sure, that Maria would like to win Wimbledon this year - but I hope she will play her own play for the most of the turnement. Then Maria will went to the semifinals or maybe the finals....If not - give her another year to reach the final again...
