Maria Sharapova to Play at U.S. Open today After Washout

Maria Sharapova and Michaela Krajicek are scheduled to play at the U.S. Open today after rain forced the postponement of yesterday's 56 singles matches, the tournament's first washout in 19 years.

Only nine matches started before play was suspended yesterday at the National Tennis Center in New York. Just two completed more than one set.
