On Friday 21st December, Maria will make an appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres show.� This will be Maria's 1st appearance on the show.�

According to the website they will talk about what it's like to be the highest paid female athlete of 2006, her roller coaster year due to injuries, her holiday plans, and her world famous grunt.

Hey everybody! I think Maria shouldn't participate in so many shows, her career isn't about this, she must be concentrated on her job, doing tennis and everything about it.
Anyway I like her and wish her the Best moments in upcoming year and be healthy and strong to beat players.

Saw Maria's appearance on Ellen and she was beautiful! There was a clip of Maria's victory over Henin at the US Open in 2006. Then Ellen and Maria introduced the audience to her early tennis history in Russia and the States. Ellen asked about the grueling workouts and about Maria's social life. Maria didn't say much about that, so Ellen moved on to the Canon commercials and gave cameras away. Then came the ping pong match which Ellen vowed to win. That was the best part. Maria complained about the small rackets and played leftie at first and let Ellen get a few points, then Ellen urged Maria to switch to right hand. Big mistake.

All-in-all I enjoyed the segment enormously! Ellen Degeneres is special because I once met Ellen's step-mother and her real father at a dinner and showed off a digital camera for them!
