Most likely candidate to win Wimbledon?

Maria pulls out of German Open
Posted by: Marco

Maria Sharapova's preparations for the second grand slam of the season have been further derailed as the Russian star was forced to withdraw from next week's German Open through injury.

Sharapova began 2008 in stunning form as she took the Australian Open title, but injuries have taken their toll in recent weeks and she has not played since losing to Serena Williams in the quarterfinals of Family Circle Cup on April 19.

Her hopes of adding the French Open title to her collection of three grand slams look uncertain, with the world number three saying she hoped to return "as soon as my body allows me to."

People,

She never said she was injured. Go back to the news statements on her website and and news articles from Wends.. Wedns.-until body allows me to heal- that could be from playing in a tournament or all the running around she does (Yes, I know a little about Biology. The body will react negatively from a tired mind). The newsman wrote unspecified injury.

Plain as day. On her wbsite after Serena match. NEXT TOURNAMENT WILL BE MAY 12TH IN ROME!!! Hell, it was the title of the piece. Obviously, Maria believed after going over it with the WTA that after Charleston it was O.K. to skip Berlin. And since the WTA did nothing at the time to make her think otherwise, it is completely unfair for them to fine her for missing Berlin. Now I don't know what to add about the photo shoot, but I know I'M DEAD on about this (Yeah, Maria, I know this completely p----- you off, but I couldn't keep quiet!!)

BTW,
Sounds eerily similiar to something at the end of '07 where the WTA tried to SHOOT THE MESSENGER, NOT THE WRITER. Get it straight, and direct all of that passion you're always talking about at the right source (Yeah, I know what I just wrote. The source is waiting. I don't want but I will wait).

Apparently, we need more clarification on what I wrote, so here it goes. Mr. Walker makes it perfectly clear that there was a meeting, and by everything that transpired after that meeting, it is also very clear that the WTA did not explain the rule to Maria, which should have been part of their responsibilities that day. It sounds like someone from the WTA dropped the ball and their trying to spin it to make Maria take the error.

You were right at kentucky today, though. Mr. Brown is much quicker and has shown that time and time again( although I don\'t know why kenny would say what he said about the grass. I\'ve always been able to recognize and appreciate good work when I see it). So I will say this. I\'m sorry if my timing was bad again today, but the people back here did nothing this morning to indicate that you were gone/ exasperated again, and when you use certain words in the context that you did in that piece TODAY(amazing followed by ignored), it made me hard to know where your coming from. But the opening line about the WTA not caring about you clears it on my end now, so I will just leave you alone. For those that need to know, since it is too late to work today, I\'m going to do a really bad thing and just start new tomorrow with all that I do on my end because you people, for all of your faults, are right about one thing: it\'s absolutely out of control and crazy (and not in a good way I think).

Nope, Masha wasn't injured and she's really fit to play. It's all WTA's fault... they want her to make excuses on her withdrawal or else she'll be fined. But Maria never intended to play... months ago she already informed WTA that if she plays in Charleston she won't be playing in Berlin. In my opinion, WTA put Masha in the line-up of competing players just to boast the number of spectators since many people love to watch her play.

More power to you, Masha... you're the best!

Watching probably O.K. for now May 09, 2008 at 14:41

These will always be the type of pictures I remember, not the National Enquire ones that keep popping up on your website here lately. (STILL SAY THAT\'S THE CUTEST BUTTON-NOSE)

BTW,

Lebron, just watch Superman 11 before next game. But seriously folks, has anybody noticed how great these playoffs have been this year. Seven out of the eight remaing teams have a realistic shot!!!! Even the TEAM BUILT FOR THIS YEAR is nowhere near a guarantee.
