The draw for the Rogers Cup in Montreal has been released and Maria is the #3 seed and has a bye in the 1st round.� In the 2nd round, Maria will play the winner of the Bethanie Mattek/Marta Domachowska match.� Maria has played Domachowska once before in Seoul in 2004 and won in straight sets and leads the series against Mattek 3-0.� This match will be played on either Tuesday or Wednesday.

The 1st seed�Maria can meet is #16 seed Nicole Vaidisova of the Czech Republic and is seed to meet #6 seed Anna Chakvetadze of Russia in the quarters.� Maria is in #2 seed Jelena Jankovic's half and top seed Ana Ivanovic and #4 seed Svetlana Kuznetsova round off the draw in the top half.

Maria has played the Rogers Cup twice before and her best result was reaching the 3rd round in 2004.
